As always we welcome all OSHUG members to participate. Held jointly with BCS Women, we have four speakers, each of whom is a leader in their field. Irina Bolychevsky founder of Redecentralize.org will look at the importance of open standards in addressing Big Tech monoply power; Dr Louise Brown, Senior Research Fellow in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Nottingham, will look at Modelling and simulating textiles with TexGen; Dawn Foster of the Governing Board of the Linux Foundation's CHAOSS project, will look at collaboration on the Kernel mailing lists; and Dr Becky Faith, Research Fellow and Leader of the Digital and Technology cluster at the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex, will look at creating a more gender-inclusive open source community.
