I came across this:

First thought; somebody has a lot of time to spare - but interesting and amusing nevertheless.
Is that a RPi or an Arduino I see as the controller?
Having looked on YouTube I see there's lots more.
This: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGSTYvx5c78 is my favourite so far.
Robert.

Yes, that is quite lovely and it seems to be an increasingly popular thing to do, which is good :o)
Not so much old tech, but if you like the sort of thing you might appreciate my friend Graeme's contraption that plays Gymnopedie:

Does anyone have an tips on where to get cheap air valves? I now have over three octaves worth of Champagne bottles for my bottle organ all nicely tuned but nothing to control the airflow with. Given the scale I'm looking for a (build or buy) solution < £1 per bottle.
I wondered if I might fashion something along the lines of this:

...using a similar solenoid technique and some plastic tubing and some resin casts?
Also, if anyone's got any empty Magnums or larger then I'd love to receive them.
Now when I see Champagne bottles I try to measure how many there are in octaves. Oh dear.

Hi,
Also, if anyone's got any empty Magnums or larger then I'd love to receive them.
PS: An empty regular bottle is almost exactly 220Hz which is the A below Middle C / A3.
