Hello,
I just wanted to let folks know that OSHCamp is now at half capacity with 50 people registered and over a month still to go. So if you are planning to attend it may be advisable not to leave it to the last minute to book.
With regards accommodation, for those that prefer the comforts of a B&B or a hotel:
The Angeldale is very central and quite reasonably priced:
The White Lion Hotel is perhaps a bit more upmarket, the food looks great and I can vouch that the beer is well kept:

And groups may wish to consider booking an apartment (although you could also book a 4 bed room at the hostel):
As ever, happy to answer any questions direct or via the list.
Cheers,
Andrew
PS. We have a 10th talk confirmed for the Saturday, on the OpenRelief CTOL open source UAV airframe (which will be brought along!)

Hi Andrew,
Excellent news - it's good to see an out of London technology event being popular. I've signed up.

Angeldale didn't have any rooms left, nor did quite a few others I tried. Using Google Maps, I eventually found a B&B about 3/4 mile out of town for £45/night. It might be a little easier and certainly cheaper for two sharing. Wanting single occupancy didn't help me.
www.hebdenbridge.co.uk has a list of "where to stay", which may also prove useful.
Best wishes,
Jeremy

Of course, I should have mentioned that site before, and also that places such as Mytholmroyd, Pecket Well and Old Town are all ~1 mile from Hebden Bridge town centre, served by bus and a cab should be around £5. In fact, the Robin Hood at Pecket Well looks quite good:

Excellent! :o) You can get the 500 bus up to Pecket Well (and some more frequent smaller buses IIRC — need to Google...) and a taxi from the station should be ~£5.
