Oh wow, that is sad news, thanks for sharing it with the group. I didn't know Ken that well, but he brought an energy to the Hebdon Bridge events every year that I'll certainly miss.

Hi,
I'm sorry to hear that but thanks for letting us know. I'd been in touch with him last summer when he was trying to persuade a few of us to organise a virtual-OSHCAMP.
I'm grateful for all the things he did for the community and for the things he taught me personally. I'm sad to see him go and hoped for more time with him.
Do you know if or where any funeral arrangements will be announced?

That's very sad. Nice bloke.
I remember once inviting him down to an event I was running in Brighton, and he came to talk despite there being only about 2 people in the audience. But he still took it with good grace.

I don't and I'm on Facebook either (the news originated from there apparently)

What year was that? I used to get away from Brighton to come to OSHUG just to meet techie folks.
I was introduced to The Elements of Computing (nand2tetris) through Ken who gave a series of talks on OSHUG & OSHcamp if I remember correctly. He was visiting Berkeley at the time.
Sincerely,
Sevan

I am so sorry to hear. Ken was quite the character and one of the major characters in OSHUG. We shall miss him a lot.
