Hi All,
I was just about to say nominate Mr Back if he's willing but I'd like to go to this event and could present if no one else is keen to do so. Anyone want to do a double act on this presentation?
IMHO, where these things meet is i the common area of tools. Chris Anderson's book "Makers" is great on this.

Greetings Open Hardware folks! My name's Mark Johnson, I work with OSS Watch at the University of Oxford supporting Open Source in UK Education and Research. I was also involved organising in OggCamp in August where I believe some of you took part in the Open Hardware Jam.
We run a series of events called "Open Source Junction", where we bring together people from different sectors to foster collaboration around a particular topic. Our next event is taking place in March, with the headline "Open Source Software meets Open Hardware". I'll post the full announcement to the list shortly.
The reason for my email today is that we'd like to open the event with a talk introducing Open Hardware as a concept, so I'm seeking someone who feels they can speak fairly authoritatively on the subject who'd be available to come to Oxford on the 14th of March and provide a 45-ish minute presentation on the subject. We'd be able to cover your expenses, and you would, of course, be welcome to stay and attend the full 2-day event.
If you feel that this is you, or could point me in the direction of someone who fits the bill, please let me know!
Many Thanks Mark Johnson
